- For best results
Sow in a sunny location after the first hard frost in the fall. Cover lightly with fine soil and firmly press seed into the soil — seeds will remain dormant until spring. Can also sow seeds in the spring, keeping soil moist until plants start to grow. Keep well weeded the first year (know how to recognize your local weeds).
