Sowing

Sow seed outdoors in early spring through mid-summer, or start seed indoors 6 to 8 weeks earlier. Plant seed 1/8 inch deep and cover with fine soil, well pressed down.

Thinning

When plants are 2 to 4 inches high, thin or transplant to 12 to 15 inches apart.

Germination

Germinates in 7 to 21 days depending on soil and temperature conditions. Seeds may require stratification (exposure to cold temps) to break dormancy.

Remarks

Flowers all summer when planted in full sun. Plant in garden where they will bloom year after year.
