Growing guide
- Sowing
Plant seed early in spring as soon as ground can be worked, through July. Space seeds 1 to 2 inches apart in rows 1 foot apart. Cover seed with 1/8 inch of fine soil, well pressed down. Keep soil moist until seeds start to grow.
- Thinning
When plants are 3 to 4 inches tall, thin or transplant 8 to 12 inches apart.
- Germination
Germinates in 7 to 14 days depending on soil and weather conditions.
- Remarks
Tops may be cut several times during the season. Use fresh in salads or cook like spinach.
