Growing guide

Sowing

Plant seed outdoors in full sun after danger of frost has passed and soil has started to warm. Best when planted in 4 rows of at least 6 plants. Space rows 3 feet apart, spacing seed 4–6 inches apart in the row. Cover with 1½ inches of soil, well pressed down.

Thinning

When plants are 3 to 5 inches tall, thin to 12 inches apart in the row.

Germination

5 to 10 days depending on soil and temperature conditions.

Remarks

For continuous harvest of sweet corn, make successive plantings every 2 or 3 weeks during the season. For highest yields, fertilize 2 times during the season.
