Growing guide
- Sowing
Plant seed outdoors as soon as the ground can be worked. May be planted as late as mid-summer for harvest in late fall or next year. Plant seeds 1 inch apart and cover with ½ inch of fine soil, well pressed down.
- Thinning
When plants are 2 to 3 inches tall, thin or transplant 10 inches apart.
- Germination
Germinates in 14 to 20 days depending on soil and temperature conditions.
- Remarks
Leaves can be cut anytime for fresh use. For winter use, cut the entire plant and hang upside down to dry. Then remove leaves and pack in jars.
