Growing guide
- Sowing
Plant seed outdoors as soon as the ground can be worked. Plant in rows 18 inches apart, spacing seeds ½ inch apart in the rows. Cover the seed with ? inch of fine soil, well pressed down. Keep soil moist until the seeds start to grow.
- Thinning
When plants are 2 to 3 inches tall, thin or transplant 6 to 8 inches apart in the row.
- Germination
Germinates in 14 to 18 days depending on soil and temperature conditions.
- Remarks
To dry for winter use, gather on a dry day when flowers on plants are fully opened. Hang leaf sprays in a cool shed or room until dry. When dry, remove leaves from stems and seal in wide-mouthed bottles.
