Growing guide
- Sowing
Plant seed outdoors as soon as the ground can be worked. For an earlier crop, start seed indoors 5–7 weeks before last frost and transplant after frost. Plant in rows 10 inches apart, spacing seeds 1 inch apart. Cover with ¼" of fine soil, well pressed down. Keep soil moist until seeds start to grow.
- Thinning
When plants are 3 to 4 inches tall, thin or transplant to 4 inches apart in the row.
- Germination
Germinates in 7 to 14 days depending on soil and weather conditions.
- Remarks
Cultivate and draw up earth around plants so they are fairly well covered at all times. Water regularly and fertilize every 4 to 6 weeks.
