Sowing

Sow seed outdoors as early as the ground can be worked. Plant in rows 15 inches apart, spacing seeds 1 inch apart. Cover with ¼ inch of fine soil, well pressed down. Keep soil moist until plants start to grow.

Thinning

When plants are 3 to 4 inches tall, thin to 6 to 8 inches apart.

Germination

Germinates in 7 to 10 days depending on soil and weather conditions.

Remarks

As heads develop, cut every other one to allow others to grow. For continuous supply, plant every few weeks throughout the season.
