Growing guide
- Sowing
Plant seed outdoors after all danger of frost is past, or start indoors 4 to 6 weeks earlier. Plant seeds in rows 12 inches apart, spaced 1 inch in the row. Cover seed with 1/4 inch of fine soil.
- Thinning
When plants are 3–5 inches high, thin or transplant to 12 inches apart in the row or bed.
- Germination
Germinates in 7 to 14 days depending on soil and weather conditions.
- Remarks
Marigolds are easy to grow and will bloom all season until frost if the flowers are picked frequently. Prefers a sunny, well-drained location.
