Growing guide
- Sowing
Plant seed outdoors after all danger of frost is past where plants are to remain. Plant in rows 6 inches apart and cover seed with 1/2 inch of fine soil, well pressed down.
- Thinning
When plants are 2 to 3 inches high, thin to about 6 inches apart in the row or bed.
- Germination
Germinates in 7 to 14 days depending on soil and weather conditions.
- Remarks
Easily grown in any soil and blooms profusely for a long period. Nasturtiums require little water and no fertilizer, as enriched soil tends to produce more foliage than flowers. Flowers smell sweet but have a peppery bite.
