Growing guide
- Sowing
Plant seed outdoors after all danger of frost is past. Sunflowers do not transplant very well. Plant in rows 24 inches apart, spacing seed 3–6 inches in the row. Cover seeds with 1/2 inch of fine soil, well pressed down.
- Thinning
When plants are 2–3 inches high, thin to 18 inches apart in rows or beds.
- Germination
Germinates in 7 to 10 days depending on soil and weather conditions.
- Remarks
May be planted in pots or containers. Sunflowers require plenty of sunshine and moderate moisture.
