Growing guide
- Sowing
Sow seed outdoors as soon as the danger of frost is past or start indoors 4 to 6 weeks earlier. Plant seed 1/4 inch deep and cover with fine soil, well pressed down.
- Thinning
When plants are 2 to 4 inches high, thin or transplant to 24 to 30 inches apart.
- Germination
Germinates in 5 to 7 days depending on soil and temperature conditions.
- Remarks
Zinnias thrive during hot weather in well-fertilized soil, with moderate water. One of the easiest kinds to grow from seed. A single row will provide plenty of blooms for cutting. May be sown up until the end of July.
