Growing guide
- Sowing
Sow seed outdoors after all danger of frost is past or start indoors 6 to 8 weeks earlier. Cover seed with 1/4 inch of fine soil, well pressed down. Do not cover seeds deeply.
- Thinning
When plants are 2 to 3 inches high, thin to 12 to 15 inches apart.
- Germination
Germinates in 7 to 10 days depending on soil and temperature conditions.
- Remarks
Zinnias prefer warm weather, rich soil, and full sun. Water as needed by soaking ground around plants. May be sown up until the end of July.
