Growing guide
- Sowing
Sow seed outdoors as early as the ground can be worked. Plant in rows 18 inches apart, spacing seeds 1 inch apart in the row. Cover seed with ½ inch of fine soil, well pressed down. Keep soil moist until plants start to grow.
- Thinning
When plants are 3 to 4 inches tall, thin to 8 to 10 inches apart.
- Germination
7 to 14 days depending on soil and weather conditions.
- Remarks
Rich in vitamins A and B. Plants are very decorative and can replace ornamental cabbages in fall containers.
