Harvest in 75–80 Days Developed at the University of Massachusetts (and named after the town of Waltham) to withstand the increasing cold of a fall planting and remain tender. Sturdy plants produce one 5–7” primary head and continue to produce large side shoots after the main head has been harvested. Florets are compact, beautiful blue-green on long stems.

Growing guide
- Sowing
Direct sow seed 1/2” deep and 4” apart 7 weeks before the first expected fall frost (late July or early August in the Northeast) for a fall harvest.
- Thinning
When plants are 6” tall, thin or transplant seedlings to allow mature plants to stand 20” apart.
- Germination
7–14 days, depending on soil and weather conditions.
- Remarks
A good spring-planted broccoli if started inside 6–8 weeks before transplanting outside in late spring after danger of frost has passed. Heat sensitive.
