Growing guide
- Sowing
For baby greens: scatter seed thinly outside as soon as the soil can be worked in early spring, pressing the seed firmly into the soil. For mature leafy heads: mix seed with dry sand or fine soil and sow in rows 12” apart, trying to space the seed 1–2” apart. Keep evenly moist until seedlings emerge.
- Thinning
No need to thin for baby greens; cut and use when they are 6–8” tall. For mature heads: thin to 10” apart and eat your thinnings!
- Germination
10–15 days, depending on soil temperature and moisture.
- Remarks
A great choice for container planting; harvest from your patio right to your salad bowl. Sow every 2 weeks for a continuous harvest of baby greens.
